I think it's interesting how the music siren cycles its stator dampers before playing - not sure why it would do that. It's probably more efficient sound power-wise than a big reed/pipe organ or carillon.

@@theray2009 i think he was talking about the piano music leading up to the music siren. btw, the song the music siren was playing is "hill of tangerine blossoms". i myself just call it "mandarin flower" as a shorter name of the song. as google translated "みかんの花咲く丘" as "mandarin orange flower blooming hill" before i knew the real name of the song.
Sirens are loud fans that has a moving disk with slots ( the higher the number of slots the higher the pitch) and a stator which has the same number of slots as the rotor. As the disk moves, air is alternatively pushed out of the holes creating the sound. This siren works by blocking the stator holes to muffle the sound, and a solenoid is used to move the muffler to uncover and cover the holes as needed. Their is probably 5 sirens in that enclosure each with two ends that each have different pitches (different numbers of slots) so the machine works by opening and closing the muffler on each side end to create a musical pitch. I hope all that isn't overwhelming

i think it might just do that to loosen the dampers up so they can move easier during the performance.
